Traffic Analysis

traffic analysis

Using Google Analytics we provide a thorough overview of the total visits to the site, how they arrived at the site, and the different pages they viewed. The purpose is to see what the average user is viewing on the site, how long they view contents of the site, and how many users leave the site after navigating from a search engine. In the Monthly Website Traffic Reports we provide you with tables based on sources i.e. Google, Yahoo, and Bing and the different keyword searches generated that the user used to find your site. This will give us an explicit understanding of what your most popular keyword search terms are. In these two tables you will see the number of total visits, the average number of pages a user visits, the average time spent on viewing content, a percentage of users that are visiting the site for the first time, and a percentage of users that leave the site without navigating to other pages. These attributes are further broken down by the individual sources and keywords used so that you can see where and how users find your website.

The end goal of traffic analysis is seeing what percent of new users are a part of the conversion rate. A conversion is a goal set up through Analytics and is accomplished when a new site user navigates to a targeted URL, visit duration, page visit, or event the site administrator desires the user to go. For example, a conversion on a videographer's website would be having a new visitor subscribe to their YouTube Channel.
